Specialty splicers and accessories
CT114
Large diameter silica fibre cleaver
For use on silica fibres with a cladding size of up to 660µm.

Achieving consistently low cleave angles for diverse fibre types.
Our high-quality, large diameter cleavers are built to achieve low cleave angles with pristine end-faces for a vast array of fibre types.
These cleavers are heavily utilised in fibre preparation for fusion splicing of standard data communication fibres, octagonal or round large diameter fibres (LDF), polarisation maintaining fibres, photonic crystal fibres and even component manufacturing with capillary tubes, ball lenses and end caps.
Applications
The CT114 benefits a variety of specialty fibre optic industries including universities, R&D optical institutes, high power laser manufacturers, photonics industries and medical applications.
Key Features
Long blade life
Blade life of approximately 200,000 cleaves with 250μm cladding fibres.
RFID technology
Fibre holders include an RFID tag - the CT114 selects the appropriate cleaving mode based on the fibre holder.
User friendly
The CT114 automatically changes its blade position and is equipped with a colour LCD touch screen monitor for easy operation.

NOTES
[1] Clamp lid screw may be necessary depending on the fibre type when it cleaves <0.4 mm. [2] There are some cases in which the set tension is different from the actual tension. [3] Cleave length means the distance between the end surface of the left side clamp and the end surface of the cleaved fibre. [4] Measured with an interferometer at room temperature, not with a splicer. The average cleave angle changes depending on the environmental conditions, blade condition, operating method, and cleanliness. [5] Measured with a splicer (FSM-100P+) at room temperature. The average cleave angle changes depending on the environmental conditions, blade condition, operating method, and cleanliness. [6] Maximum cleaved angle changes depending on the fibre type cleaved and clamp position. [7] Support 10,000 cleaves per position at cladding dia. 250μm and 400μm. 20pos. X 10,000 cleaves = 200,000 cleaves The blade life changes depending on the environmental conditions, operating method, and the fibre type cleaved.
