Fujikura Europe is pleased to announce that it has appointed Webro Cables & Connectors as a UK distribution partner for Wrapping Tube Cable (WTC) with SpiderWeb Ribbon® (SWR®). The partnership will see Webro act as the sole cable distributor for Fujikura cable, serving the telecoms market with a supply of air blown 144, 288 and 432-fibre cables.
The distribution agreement is an ideal fit for both companies. Thanks to significant distribution capabilities, a large warehouse operation, and 350 years of combined industry experience, Webro’s team of dedicated experts are superbly positioned to increase the availability of air blown WTC with SWR® to the telecoms market with the agility and responsiveness for which it is known. Ahead of the official market launch, the Webro team has undergone extensive training with Fujikura to ensure outstanding customer support and service.
With higher fibre density and a reduction in splicing and preparation times by up to 72%, Fujikura Wrapping Tube Cable (WTC) with SpiderWeb Ribbon® (SWR®) is faster to splice with the simultaneous connection of 12 fibres per splice, removing errors, reducing installation time, lowering labour cost, and minimising emergency repair time. Ultimately, it delivers a lower total cost of ownership for telcos.
