100S
Single-fibre core alignment fusion splicer
With its unparalleled splicing performance and brand-new, workflow-enhancing features, the 100S is built to help engineers increase their efficiency without compromising on the results.

Building networks, building momentum
A triumph of evolution through engineering, the 100S combines precise and reliable splice performance with thoughtful features which streamline user workflow in way that no other splicer does.
Fujikura splicers have always been made by engineers for engineers. The new 100S is no different. This is a core alignment machine which takes the exceptional splicing performance expected of Fujikura and hones it with a collection of refinements and additional features which streamline the splice process, make it faster, easier, and more intuitive. The result is a machine which engineers can rely on for a seamless workflow and consistent results.
The innovative simultaneous fibre preparation is a transformative new feature for a core alignment splicer. With dual stripping, dual cleaving from the new CT60 cleaver and dual clamping, the 100S drastically speeds up the splice process and delivers a seamless workflow from the moment you start working with the fibres, to the moment you remove the completed splice from the heater.
Users can rely on market-leading Fujikura technologies including Active Fusion Control and Active Blade Management to complete low loss work faster and more consistently than ever before. These technologies work in tandem with the 100S’s array of customisable automated features which include the wind protector and fibre retention clamps, so the user does not need to touch the 100S once the splice process has started.
The 100S also benefits from a new shape and design which includes a new portrait orientated touchscreen, a redesigned wind protector, a robust exterior with high levels of shock resistance with a premium matte bronze finishing across its thermoplastic exterior.
Simultaneous fibre preparation
From stripping to cleaving and setting the fibres in the splicer, our unique dual preparation system speeds up fibre preparation. SS05 strippers make it possible to strip two fibres at once. These can be cleaved together with a single press of the CT60 cleaver. Setting the fibres in the splicer at the same time is simple and intuitive thanks to the 100S’s fibre clamp mechanisms.
Every splice optimised
The 100S is packed with proprietary Fujikura technologies including Active Blade Management and Active Fusion Control, which provide a powerful, intuitive user experience and consistent low-loss results.
Customisable automated features
The 100S’s automatic features, including the wind protector and sheath clamps are customisable for parameters including opening/closing speed and duration to suit your preferred workflow. This is a splicer that can truly be fine-tuned by the end user to make the process faster and more convenient, while still delivering low loss results.
New fibre guides
New fibre placement guides aid the positioning of the fibres, a feature which is especially useful for new engineers. By enabling fibre positioning to be precise and repeatable, the guides contribute to consistent results and act as tactile confirmation of correct fibre positioning.
It's tough
The 100S is made from precision machined metal and thermoplastic parts and has impact protection across all six sides thanks to its rugged rubber-derived bumpers.
User-friendly
100S electrodes come as an assembly and don’t require a screwdriver to replace. Users will also benefit from excellent internal lighting: as the sheath clamp opens on the opposite side of the illumination lamp, the sheath clamp area is illuminated without shadow.
Splice coach
The 100S’s splice coach features means that, should you need it, you’ve always got a helping hand with you.
Our most adaptable splicer
Our iconic yellow case includes a multifunction work tray that functions as a workstation and adapts to your workspace. An adjustable 4.9-inch colour TFT touch screen ensures perfect operation in all lighting conditions and because the 100S can be charged with a power bank, it can always be ready in the field.

Fibre preparation, perfected
Fusion is critical, but the prep work demands the most time and work in the splice process. The dual fibre preparation system of the 100S addresses this by streamlining the preparation process with an intuitive set of features born out of a deep understanding of the on-site realities and challenges of being a fibre engineer. Users can strip two fibres at once with our SS05 strippers, then simultaneously set and cleave two fibres in the CT60 cleaver, before placing both fibres into the splicer and clamping at the same time using our unique, market-first mechanism.

Active Fusion Control & Active Blade Management technologies
The 100S analyses both cleave end faces and applies optimal fusion control to deliver a significant reduction in splice loss and less chance of having to rework splices. Its real-time fusion parameter control is achieved by analysing the fibre brightness during splicing, which contributes to stable, low-loss results.
The CT60 cleaver wirelessly connects to the 100S – a capability that provides automatic cleaver blade rotation when the 100S judges that the blade is worn. The 100S displays the remaining blade life and informs the user when a blade position change or new blade is required. The 100S can simultaneously connect with up to two CT60 cleavers.

The average splice time changes depending on the environmental conditions, fibre type, and fibre characteristics [4] Measured at room temperature with the AC adapter. The heat time is defined from the start beep sound to the finish beep sound. The average heat time changes depending on the environmental conditions, sleeve type and battery pack condition. [5] The electrode life changes depending on the environmental conditions, fibre type and splice modes. [6] Test conditions (1) Splice and heat time: 1-minute cycle (2) Using the splicer power save settings, subject to our testing conditions (3) Using a new battery (4) At room temperature. The battery capacity changes when testing using different conditions from those just described. [7] The battery capacity decreases to half after approx. 500 discharge and recharge cycles.
