All our polarisation maintaining and reduced absorption fibres (commonly referred to as PM or PANDA fibres) have low attenuation and excellent birefringence for polarisation sensitive applications. Their high symmetry and mechanical precision enable low losses in mechanical connectors and fusion splices.
Fujikura’s PANDA fibres are the industry standard. We offer a wide range of operating wavelengths from 400nm to 1550nm, plus a wide range of coating options.

Standard
Available in a wide range of standard operating wavelengths up to 1550nm and with a variety of coating designs, PM specialty fibres are optimal for high-performance polarisation retaining fibre applications.
Bend insensitive
PM Bend Insensitive Specialty Optical Fiber is designed with signifiantly improved bending capacity to meet the needs of applications where package size needs to be minimised.
High N.A.
PM high numerical aperture (NA) fibres deliver extremely high birefringence, low insertion loss, a high N.A. and excellent dimensional uniformity.
RGB
Fujikura RGB fibre is a polarisation maintaining fibre optimised for operation over the entire visible spectrum. This increased wsvelength range enables greater flexibility by allowing for the use of a single fibre in applications.
Reduced cladding
Fujikura reduced cladding fibre is designed for operations where space is at a premium and high durability is needed. The fibres provide very low bending radius with low bending crosstalk.
